Reflecting on cherished memories at The Shanty in Cape Charles. 🍊 Years ago, this quaint spot became the backdrop for dreams as we sat for hours, sipping orange crushes with friends, envisioning a future where Cape Charles would be our own piece of paradise. Fast forward to today, we are building a special place to call our own, savoring those familiar orange crushes and realizing how far we've come. We are incredibly grateful for the journey! Some of our go to orders at the Shanty include the Virginia blue crab dip, shrimp tacos, crab cake sandwich, and of course a CRUSH!
This is our go-to spot in the afternoon to relax outdoors with a delicious drink in hand while savoring one of their amazing poke bowls on their charming patio. We can't stop thinking about these poke bowls, and our favorite to share is the shrimp one. We also love their pastries and salads, perfect for a quick and easy lunch by the beach. The owner is an absolute delight, which makes this place a must-visit every time we're in town.
We always have to stop into AJ's to indulge in some of their softshell crab bites. Don't overlook a few of our all-time favorites such as the bayside nachos, cauliflower bites, and fried pickles—each dish a flavorful reminder of the delightful moments we've shared at AJ's. We are truly looking forward to creating more memories here!
We can't overlook one of the true staples in Cape Charles - Cape Charles Brewing Company! There's nothing like a relaxing outdoor dinner, and this brewery has become a frequent flier for us. While the kids have a blast with the games and outside activities, we get to unwind and savor the moment. The craft beer flights are a must-try, allowing one to explore a variety of incredible brews. Clearly known for their beverages, Cape Charles Brewing company also has great food to pair wonderfully with their craft brews and frequent entertainment.
